BARNA conducted extensive research on short-term teams a few years ago. They interviewed participants and field hosts to gain insights into effective short-term trips. Pay particular attention to the “Heard from the Field” and “The Goals of Hosting” sections (pages 6-13).

Read through this online article “8 Prayers You Can Pray for Your Missions Team.”
Use this article as encouragement to begin praying for your trip and your team. Take note of specific suggestions you want to incorporate into your prayer life.
Suggested Activity: Obtain a notebook that you can use as your leader prayer journal for the time leading up to and during your trip. Use it to record specific prayer needs for the trip, your team members and your field partner.
