OUTREACH & MISSIONS
GLOBAL MISSIONS
Liberty’s mission is to mobilize the whole church to join God’s global work by praying, going, and sending. We partner with cross-cultural missionaries and organizations in 15+ countries, focusing especially on new movements in the Muslim world.
Below are some of the opportunities available in serving with the Global outreach of the church:
MISSIONARY CARE AND SUPPORT
Liberty directly supports 31 different missionary families – 17 serving in 11 countries around the world, as well as 14 families serving in cross-cultural ministries here in the U.S. All are invited to support our missionaries through prayer and ongoing financial giving.
Learn more about our missionaries by contacting Pastor Andrew Jones.
MISSIONARY PRAYER TIME
The first Monday of the month | 12 p.m. | Cafe, Chesterton Campus
Join us on the first Monday of the month as we lift up our missionaries. It is our privilege to support ministries around the world through the power of prayer. Find out more, email Pastor Andrew Jones.
LOCAL OUTREACH
Liberty’s passion to see the name of Jesus Christ glorified leads us to be actively involved in serving and blessing our community. The aim of Liberty’s Local Outreach ministry is to help everyone at our church to live out the Gospel in word and deed in the multitude of opportunities available in our neighborhoods and community.
Learn more by contacting Ben Polhemus, Community Outreach Director.
Below are some of the ways we serve in outreach to our local community:
Friendship Families
Friendship Families is a group of Christians from several local churches that befriend international students from Valparaiso University. We connect about once a month by having group activities. Questions? Email Amy Berube.
Kids Hope
Kids Hope USA believes all kids matter to Jesus and that the local church is uniquely called to care for children in their community. Research shows that the common factor in determining a child’s future success is if they have stable, committed, healthy relationships with adults in their lives.
Liberty and Kids Hope have partnered with Liberty Elementary School to mentor students. It’s all about building life-changing relationships. One student at a time. If you are interested in volunteering one hour a week, email Dave Ausema.
