Intergenerational Sundays are where kids and parents worship together.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Kids programming is provided for ages birth – kindergarten.
Kids in grades 1st – 5th will join their parents and are encouraged to worship together.
The service might be a little louder than normal, but that is OK! We value all our generations worshiping together.
What can the older generations do to encourage kids to worship with their family?
Introduce yourself to a family with young kids and learn their names.
Be willing to serve in the 0-5 age classes on InterGen Sundays so parents can sit with their elementary kids.
Three Key Reasons We Care About InterGen Sundays:
Spiritual Formation: Research shows that kids who are integrated into the broader church from a young age are more likely to maintain their faith into adulthood.
Belonging: We want elementary-age kids to feel at home in our Sunday services and see themselves as vital members of the church community.
Discipleship Culture: InterGen Sundays are a step toward building a more vibrant, whole-church discipleship culture at Liberty.
