Jeremiah: A Life Fully Alive

Life is lived on a scale of increased difficulty, and that is how it is meant to be. God does not invite us into a life of increasing comfort, but increasing calling. His vision for our lives is that the older we get, the more we can carry. His vision and hope for us is that we might become more, not less. He desires for us to be fully alive in His Kingdom.

Jeremiah might be the best example of such a life. Not because Jeremiah was superior or stronger or better than others. In fact, his nick name is ‘the weeping prophet’. He was constantly discouraged and consistently overwhelmed. The reason why Jeremiah became fully alive in God’s Kingdom was not because of Jeremiah, but because of God. The Word came to Jeremiah, and He received it. And as the God’s Word led Jeremiah – he awoke – to courage, truth, faith, radical hope, and a deep knowledge of God. Jeremiah was fully alive in the Kingdom of God.

That is God’s desire for our lives, that we might become more, not less. Join us as Jeremiah shows us what God can do with an ordinary human life.
