GIVE THANKS, GIVE HOPE: Supporting Promise Home
Each year, Liberty Bible Church collects a Thanksgiving Offering to support a mission we partner with. This year, our offering will benefit Promise Home, a ministry that provides residential care, education, vocational training, and spiritual support to children with disabilities.
Promise Home, an EFCA-supported ministry in the Democratic Republic of Congo, serves children and young adults with disabilities by providing personalized care, education, vocational training, and opportunities to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. In partnership with the Congolese Free Church, Promise Home helps young people develop independence, build meaningful relationships, and participate more fully in family, church, and community life. What began with 12 children in 2018 now serves 90 children, including 50 receiving residential care.
As the ministry grows, Promise Home is expanding its impact by equipping families, caregivers, and local churches to care for children with disabilities within their own communities. Through this work, more families can experience the love of Christ, and more young people can discover their God-given value, purpose, and place in the body of Christ. We are excited to support this mission!
HOW TO PRAY FOR PROMISE HOME:
For the Children and Young Adults: Pray that each child is loved, cared for, and grows closer to Jesus.
For Families and Caregivers: Pray for strength and support as they care for their children.
For Staff and Church Partners: Pray for wisdom, encouragement, and resources to help families.
For the Ministry: Pray that Promise Home continues to share Jesus’ love and change lives throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo.
